honda crv valve design defect ?

Topic starter

just bought a 2001 honda crv awd with 157k miles. (I don't have a maintenance history)

Now  I find out there is a design defect and the upper valves can't be cleaned?  I'm concerned if any carbon build up will ruin the engine  I had New oils and tune up and valve adjustment will this be enough.  Will fuel treatments work like BG done professionally help?  I put ATS fuel treatment in just a week ago.  .

Any suggestion other that valve job every 30k miles and oil changes regularly?

ATS as per Scotty Kilmer Extraordinaire.

Well those don't particularly have carbon buildup problems they're not gasoline direct engines I would not worry about it myself but if you're worried you can try the cleaner and I showed and Bee gee is also very good cleaner
