hi,
I drive a Honda Jazz(or Fit) 1.3, 102 hp, 2017, 23000 km (14291 mile), manual gear...I live in Germany...that is why the mileage is low 😉 ..... I got a job in another city...now I have to drive on the highway like 120 kilometers per day(each trip is around 60 km or 37 miles)....on the highway the rpm reads between 2000 - 3000 rpm....the trip lasts between 45 and 1 hour.....is this range of rpm is bad for the motor when driven for this amount of time? is there anything i can do to help reduce the damage??
thanks
No it's not bad at all and is better for the car than just city driving. Keep up with your scheduled maintenance and it will be fine.
Scotty says in several videos that highway mileage is equal to 10% of city mileage.
A steady 2000-30000 rpm is about perfect for most all ICEs.
Very good ...thanks a lot.
