- Hi Scotty I drive 2008 Honda Fr-v manual 6 speed transmission gasoline. When the fuel tank is below half the engin starts to boggle around 2000-300 rpm and I have to constantly change gears (I feel like a truck driver) but when I fill it up to full it drives like new. Car has over 190 000km. What could be cousing that problem.
Please do not double post. Thank you.
A few things should be checked. Once you fill up did you write your odometer miles ? Write it and then when the car stumbles..how many miles did you go ? Have you ever let the stumbling go on till the engine died totally like your out of gas? When it stumbles do you head to the gas station - fill it up and then its ok?
So I forgot to mention when the fuel tank is below half in neutral runs fine and when i just let it boggle it lights check engine light but after i turne the car on and off it disappears
Do you remember what the check engine code was off hand ?
No I dont and I cannot go to the mechanic to see it becouse he will be free next jear
atuozone can read codes for free
It dosent show any codes and when I tried to let it boggle again it doesn't stop and there is no check engine light
