I’m planing on getting my first car and I was wounding what I should look at for a decent beater for cheap

For a few years you can get almost anything. Try to find 10 years or older low mileage cars.

Toyota, Honda, Nissans from 90s and early 2000s, 15 years or older BMWs ...

Going cheap might be easier now, but will cost you more in the long run.

Better to pay more up front now, and have less worries down the road IMO.
