My 2012 Accord 2.4 litre 4 banger has 165,000 miles. I have followed their system of codes for all maintenance so far, but I always thought their oil change schedule was a little lax.
Would you change oil more often?
Following the code schedule has sometimes taken me 9,000 miles between oil changes.

Change engine oil/filter no more than every 5,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first. For (automatic) transmission fluid/filter, drain and fill every 40,000 miles with the OEM fluid.

Just take the manufacturer's recommendations and divide by 2.
