Gifted a 2005 Honda Odyssey by my father with some transmission problems. Drove it home about 100 miles, when the car's engine light turned on about half way through. When I got home and checked the codes, it was spitting out a P0741 Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Circuit Performance or Stuck Off fault. Something that caused me to believe I was still in the clear was that the van still shifted fine.
I drained and filled the transmission fluid and it did not have any flakes that would cause me to believe catastrophic transmission failure. Later ordered the transmission fluid filter and swapped it out with the old one.
Before moving the van, I then ordered a supposedly new OEM TCC solenoid and the Shift Solenoid B from China. Also changed the coolant at the same time. I noticed some metal-y scrap clogging the little filter on one of the solenoids. Brown one... I think the TCC solenoid.
I installed the brown solenoid in front and the black solenoid behind it, and snapped the harness clips back into place in the same orientation of the solenoids themselves.
I turn the van back on, drive it a little bit and the check engine light turns on, and even worse is that the "D" drive light is blinking on and off. I understand this to be the vehicle's limp mode. Fast forward a few days without moving the van and now it will not even turn on. Any recommendations? Losing my mind with this thing.
Update: I hooked my battery charger to it, and it did seem to turn on the lights on on the dash albeit making some clicking sounds. The van did turn over but it immediately shut off.

it was spitting out a P0741 ... the new code was P0747
often you will get solenoid codes, but they just can't do their jobs because the trans is plumb worn out and not worth fixing. Especially weak transmission like this one. 2005 was the worst year of the Odyssey and the overall worst problem reported by owners is the transmission. Sorry.
Ok thanks. The car has 201,000 miles and the fluid was not black black at all but a dark red. Seemed healthy. I think this coupled with the fine shifting could signal that there’s still plenty of life left here but some easy fix in missing blatantly. A short somewhere? But that wouldn’t explain the p0747 code
If there any ideas out there I’m happy to hear them. I’ll take it to a tranny shop in a week or two but don’t plan on blowing the bank on it.
I forgot to mention, the new code was P0747 Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid 'A' is stuck in the on position

@sunnyerik You won't get an accurate diagnosis over the internet. You still haven't posted your miles. Take it to a trustworthy trans shop with the proper tools and skilled techs, and have it looked at it you want an informed answer. But it could cost you more than the car is worth. I'm just preparing you for a realistic, most statistically probable outcome, and I don't want you to waste your money on a dud. Putting cheap Chinese parts in it will only make matters worse. Shotgunning parts at codes is not the way. How black was the fluid when it came out?
It's gone from bad to worse after you put those parts on, so I'm assuming they were probably cheap Chinese parts. They either didn't work or may have even shorted it out the transmission control module, I seen that happen. But from my experience with those things, you said there were metal filings when you took parts out. That means there's serious damage inside the transmission which is typical for that model. Truthfully, unless you want to gamble with a used transmission from a junkyard, I'd say just say goodbye
