Hi Scotty,
I had bought a Chrysler 2019 Pacifica Hybrid, turned out to be a Lemon and FCA repurchased it. Thank God i got 100% money back and I bought 2020 Honda Odyssey EXL, 10 speed AT, Earth Dreams v6 engine.
It had about 4 recalls so far on Electronics/Softwares; 1 recall on the Door Hinges/latch, 1 repair under warranty, replacement of Wiring Harnesses.(The van started making bubble popping noises from dash after 10K miles, that's fixed now after all infotainment wiring harnesses were replaced).
its been 11 months since purchased and i had to get the van to the dealer/service for 6 repairs in total. have about 15k miles on it.
The big Question on my mind right now: Will this Odyssey last for long like 15+ years/400k miles without major($$$$) repairs? i heard from some of your videos that Hondas got not so good transmissions.
Is it worth to look for other options like Toyota Highlander ? what's your advise on this?
i wanted a Minivan, since i have a family of 7 but not sure if the New Toyota Sienna 4 cylinder engine got enough power to pull a heavy load. May be i am running out of minivan options.
Thank you,
Jino Thomas

Aside from infotainment issues and major quality issues these new odysseys have, the powertrain is doing very well. The 9-speeds these used earlier were junk, they don't use the 9-speed anymore. The 10-speed you have is doing well. Overall, you have a solid van. Don't worry about it. With regular timely maintenance, you should have no issues with the powertrain and should last 200k+ miles.
Would suggest you to check out odyclub forums, great info there. You'll save yourself from stealerships ripping you off.
Thank you MrRangerZr1 for the reply. that gives me a confidence on my van. i will do by best to maintain it at regular intervals, protect the paints, plastic, rubber and metals from rusting/corroding.
thanks
