Honda Odyssey Brakes

Hi Scotty, love your channel on YouTube.  We currently have a 2016 Honda Odyssey with about 70K on it.  This is our 4th Odyssey dating back to 2005.  We love Honda.  Across multiple generations they have not fixed a big, really well know problem.

Severe steering wheel feedback (wobble) when using the brakes.  It usually starts before you have 20K on the vehicle.  The brakes are still good and actually work just fine.

Understanding this was probably because the rotors were getting to hot and warping. So I finally broke down and bought "racing" brakes.  Ceramic pads and drilled and slotted rotors, on all wheels. Which worked great for 15-20K miles but now the wobble is back.

Thanks,

Mike from the Motor City

You've addressed pads and rotors. But if the caliper piston seals are in bad condition, the pads will not retract properly and will drag on the rotors, and the rotors will overheat and warp. That's the remaining element to check/rebuild/replace. Feel the rotors after a substantial drive with little braking - if hot, that's the problem.

Could it be an alignment issue?
