I recommend Pennzoil it was rated #2 out of all the major oil brands(#1 was Amsoil but its more for race cars at 30$ a quart or something crazy) in a head to head shoot out on Project Farms youtube and my cars never ran better after switching since I've owned it.

Pennzoil is a solid choice. Only oil I really wouldn't recommend is quaker state but it might be opinion based.

All the oils in us should be fine as long as you choose the correct viscosity, since all them are approved by API.

Most of Scotty's video's I see, he is good with the Castro brand. Personally me, I run Pennzoil Platinum (or Ultra Platinum).

I believe a 2000 Honda Civic calls for 5W-30 oil weight. Don't forget a good quality oil filter.

I use Mobil 1. But any oil with the proper viscosity will be fine. No need to spend the money on Royal Purple or AMS.
