[Solved] Honda Pilot

Hey Scotty my dad is looking for a suv he looking at a 2009-13 Honda Pilot but there is a problem with the oil consumption and he scared it’s gonna give him problem like his 09 GMC Acadia till the engine and tranny died on him earlier this year , he trying to avoid any problem at all cause, Is there a fix to the pilot oil consumption?

Yes it's called the VCMuzzler. Search it up. Buy, install, drive with no worries.

They are nowhere near as bad as GM products some of them will use a little bit of oil but it's not that big of a deal the engine still run fine

You will have nowhere near the amount of problems with a Pilot than that GMC which is honestly junk the engine and transmissions are good and the Honda SUV's oil consumption should be nowhere near as bad as the Toyota Rav4 oil consumption issue 2006-2008.

Our 2011 Honda Pilot was using lots of oil too.  The dealer said the problem was with the piston rings not aligning properly over time, causing oil to escape from the engine.  Bottom line, Honda had a recall and they paid for most of the repair, even though the mileage was in excess of 120k.  While fixing the problem, we paid for a new timing belt and a couple of plugs on non-affected cylinders.  Cheers, Billy.
