2014 Equinox Heater Core

Hey Scotty. I added Bar's Leak Aluminum (1/2 bottle) for my 4 cylinder Equinox to stop Heater core leaking. I drained and filled coolant prior to adding Bar's Leak like you recommended. Fog disappeared in windshield, but smell continues when heater is turned on, and I continue to loose Coolant on reservoir. Since I have 53K miles, I decided to replace the heater core now. Should I perform another coolant drain and fill or flush prior to (or right after) replacing heater core. I would like to keep the vehicle until I reach 100K miles.

absolutely. get rid of every little bit of that stop leak product.

You should have just replaced the heater core in the first place.
