I have an ‘03 Honda Pilot with 317k miles. Automatic. Runs and shifts great, though it does have a rear main seal leak. As I was changing my differential fluid, I noticed the rear left control arm subframe was rusting through ( https://imgur.com/a/HeCc4L4 ). Apparently early Pilots are prone to this. There is a service bulletin kit for repairing it but only if the frame passes a punch through test. Is it worth spending the money to fix it? Esp if it fails lunch through and would require more extensive repair work?

Get a quote on the repair work and compare it with what the vehicle is worth so you can make an informed decision.
