Hi Scotty,
I had been thinking to replace my old car but decided to keep driving it because it had been so reliable. I had been watching your youtube channel for a while and then it happened....I hit a big rock that destroyed the front end of my favorite car, a 2006 Honda Civic with 180K miles. I was curious at all the car models out there. While pondering what to replace it with, I was considering all kinds of cars and models. After watching one of your videos on the best model used cars, I decided to try to find a 2013 Civic. I was fortunate to find a 2013 Civic LX model with very low mileage (47000) ! It was even my favorite color (Dyno blue pearl). The car looks and drives like brand new and I couldn't be happier. It was an emotional goodbye to a great 2006 model that had a happy ending with a cleaner, newer upgrade that i feel i can drive for a very long time! The price was around $12K so it didn't break the bank and put me in debt. Thank you for your inspiration and for keeping me in a solid, low cost, reliable vehicle that always gets me where I need to go. How do you think I did?
Replacing a Honda with a Honda is an excellent choice.
You did good. Civics are great workhorse cars and they're relatively fun to drive with a manual transmission.
I had a 2013 Civic LX and I beat the living crap out of it and put 100k miles on it in a 2 year period. It never had a single problem so you made an excellent choice. Only reason I got rid of it was because it was too small and cramped for me so I gave it to my brother and got a Camry. My brother is driving it now and it’s still running like a brand new car.
