Hello, I am looking forward to buy a work vehicle (used) for my painting business, not really going to tow or off road. Just some ladders and painting tools. I am checking Honda Ridgeline ( don't mind of not being called real truck) Tacoma or 150. Which one is more reliable in cold Canadian winter. Probably will go for AWD.
Thanks.
Any particular year? Price budget?
Get a 4 wheel drive Tacoma, not an AWD.
If used more like a truck, heavy hauling, heavy load, more off road:
Tacoma > F150 > Ridgeline
If used more like a car, daily driver, highway driving:
Ridgeline || Tacoma > F150
Overall ideally Tacoma, IMHO.
I will throw a curve ball here and suggest Nissan Frontier IF (and big if) you can get it for much cheaper than the Tacoma.
See below for years to get:

I would wait because there will be a recession later on. The ranking is based on what you are using for. If the truck is for daily driving, I switch the Honda Ridgeline and Ford F-150.
1. Toyota Tacoma
2. Ford F-150 (12th generation and V8)
3. Honda Ridgeline
2015 and upwards.budget around 20k. Tacomas are expensive, so are f150.
