Honda Stepwgn RG1 the sliding door is manual and it is closed and will not open. A while ago a seat belt was caught in the door jam and I presume that it "messed around" with the latch cause after that the door would not open. I managed to pull the seat belt out though.
I took off the trim and had a look. It seems to be that the latch cable is broken on the latch side. I got a replacement secondhand latch assembly and cable so that I could see how the mechanisms work and eventually swap it out. I found how I can manually release the latch with a bit of wire. But for the life of me, I can't get to that part of the latch assembly from the inner part of the door.
Does anyone know what I can do?
Well basically you got to take practically the whole inside of the door panel apart to get to that stuff. Then you'll be able to see the bolts that hold in place. Get a strong flashlight so you can see everything when you take it apart
