What does Acura do to reduce road noise and make the interior quieter. I have a 2017 Honda CRV with 40k miles. My only complaint is the road noise. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
AFAIK, more insulation and sound proofing in door panels and exterior panels.
Take the Toyota Prius for example. It’s not a Honda or Acura, but it provides a good example. They basically eliminated all the sound proofing because it adds so much weight. They focus more on fuel efficiency than road noise. With a lighter car, it’s more fuel efficient.
When close the door of a Prius, you hear more of a cheap “thunk” than a nice. “thud”. Take your average luxury car and it’s more of a nice “thud”. Methinks it’s all the insulation and sound proofing.
So with Acura, hey probably do more insulation and sound proofing than Honda. Just a guess.
