1998 Honda Civic ex coupe, 1.6 sohc vtec d16y8. When I turn the key the fuel pump turn on and primes but then when I turn it even further to start the car the car does nothing only the fuel pump turns on. I checked my grounds and my battery cables also the connections on my starter because I changed the starter. I don’t know why it won’t start I did scan for a code and I got p1928 and when I looked it up it mentioned an electronic load detector so I ordered a new one of those but yeah it ran before with the eld blown I just don’t understand why it won’t start now? Sorry big question I just really need help man thank you soo much for your time and I hope to hear from you soon!
Well for some reason the starter isn't getting enough electricity you'll have to trace the wiring not do replace that ELD you never know computers are funky thanks but if not that either the ignition switches and sending power to the starter or there's a wiring problem somewhere
One alternative is to just unplug the ELD from the fuse box so the alternator operates like an old fashioned one and works.
