Hi, I hope you can help me with a 4 yr old problem.
Dealerships, body and repair shops, salvage yards have all been unable to tell me what is wrong. From the pic you can see the hood is up about an inch, all I replaced is the hood and hinges, everything else is factory. The hood lines up perfectly in all directions otherwise. The hinge mount points are not bent either. I've searched across all related year/models for this truck and cannot find any different part numbers for hood or hinges than the ones I have.

compare the new hardware to the old stuff. Clearly something doesn't match
Unfortunately, old was tossed before new arrived. Big mistake in hindsight 🙁
I found hinges on this GMC site but the part numbers don't match yours. In case of a glitch here are the part numbers and I'll paste the site also.
