I have a 2017 Prius Prime and sometimes the hood release inside of the car doesn't open the hood and sometimes it does.
I have checked and the release cable is securely attached to the hood latch. The problem could be on the hood release end inside of the car but I don't know how to check that. Or it may be something else.
Does anyone have any ideas of what else could be the problem of the latch intermittently working?

- make sure hood latch assembly isn't bent or damaged. Lubricate it.
- adjust your hood stops
- there are various kinds of mechanisms, but there's usually a way to adjust the height of the catch
