Hey scotty, 2002 LEXUS IS 300 119k miles. Horn isn’t working and the airbag light isn’t on which in my case when the clock spring was bad before and I replaced it on this car it was. So, could it still be the clock spring? I tested the horn by putting power to it and it works and the relay and fuse both are working/jumping when I hit the horn. Any ideas? Thanks bud
The only thing thats left is the trigger or switch which tells the relay you placed your hand on the horn button on the steering wheel. What you have to do is to find a wiring diagram on the relay to see which wire comes from the steering wheel clock spring. Place your hand on the horn button to see if that wire becomes active - more than likely a ground circuit. But the problem lay in the trigger operation as your relay and horn are working as you tested them. Another is to take the steering wheel off once more and disconnect the clock spring connector to the steering wheel column and then jumper the horn to see if the horn works. it works..then the problem is upwards to the clockspring. If it doesn then the problem is between what you jumpered to the relay. Make sure the relay fuse is good as i don't know if your directly jumpering it or triggering it
