Horrible sounds after new radio install

Hey Scotty!

We just purchased a 2007 Cadillac CTS base for our son. It has 51,000 miles and was babied by an older family friend who recently passed. It is in immaculate condition (not even a crack in the leather seats)! Before he passed, he put in new breaks, new tires, and a new battery. All the fluids are in good shape as well. We only paid $4,000! This was the deal of the century!

Immediately after having Best Buy install a new stereo head unit (for Apple Car Play), we started to notice a loud, booming sound coming from all the speakers. It even happened after the car was turned off. We had to disconnect the battery to make it stop the first time. Now it happens more frequently and will often be preceded by the head unit screen flickering on and off or reseting. Best Buy has checked the install and saw no issues. They suggested it might be the factory amp not playing nice with the new head unit, but I'm not sure and I wouldn't even know how to check that if it was the case.

We have videos of the sound booming and the screen cutting out if that would be helpful. Any help would be greatly appreciated! We love your content and look forward to more!

-Mike

If the problem didn't exist before the Best Buy installation, they screwed something up.  Your recourse is with them.
