How concerning is a bit of rust on a rocker panel?

Hello,

I am seriously considering a 2008 toyota corolla. The car only has 55k miles, and after having inspected it on my own it seems to be in good shape. There are no signs of accidents, the clutch is good (it is a manual), steering, shocks, and engine all seem to be how you would expect a car with such mileage to be in. My only concern is that there is a little bit of rust starting on the left rocker panel. I'd say the rust spot is about an 8th of an inch in diameter. I checked carefully everywhere else, around and behind all the wheels and also the underside of the car, where there didn't seem to be much rust on the underside frame. The seller wants $2300, is it worth going with it despite the bit of rust?

I wouldn't purchase a vehicle with rust anywhere on it. Rust never sleeps and fixing rust issues is a pain and expensive.
