On a 2008 Pontiac gt g6 How do you remove power steering pump back cover after snap ring is removed and the cover has not moved? The spring inside the pump has not pushed the cover out and it is impossible to get anything behind it since the cover is in passed the sweep hole

Why do you want to disassemble the power steering pump? Usually you just get a reman unit and bolt it in.
