A 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS w/146,000 miles for $3500 or a 2002 Lexus ES 300 w/165,000 miles for $4000? Both super clean and well taken care of. I am looking to buy a car that will last another 100,000 miles without to much trouble issues.

hard to say without knowing the condition and service history.
Obviously the Lexus is worth more, and will have more luxuries. But it will be more expensive to maintain.

If they were both in the same mechanical condition, it would be which ever one you liked more.
Have a mechanic check both of them out, you might find a problem with one of them and go for the other. Both the Avalon and ES are great premium cars.
