I have a 2014 Toyota corolla , automatic, 135000 miles , 4 cilínder . During a road trip driving a hill it got warm and the radiator blew
first a light came on “maint recod” then going up the hills an engine light too saying check engine then the radiator blew all water got leaked
so a machanic looked at it and inspected said need the head gasket ,head gasket is bad and also radiator has a whole on the top part it looks like it blew due to pressure
so the cost will be $1800 he said he will change water pomp too
Well the only way you can really tell us if the guy takes pictures of it while he's taking apart or calls you when it's apart and let you see it. The gasket itself is sealed between the head and the block and once it's put back together you can't tell
