I have a 2013 Cadillac SRX I just bought and the backup camera is not working. 72,000 miles, AWD automatic trans.
Watched several video's on how to trouble shoot and they said to check for power at the camera, did that and their is 12V power.
Advise from the videos was it was probably the camera, so I got a new one and installed it, has the same message on the CUE system, (SERVICE REAR VISION SYSTEM) Went on the Cadillac question forum and he said I had to take it to a dealer on a place that had a programmer to have the problem fixed, (note) great luck with that and their plug and play parts fix's! The closest place that has the scanner is 152 miles away. My question for you is their a way to reset it or is it true they are the only ones that can fix it?

I am a old fart that thought I had a good knowledge about cars and trucks but your videos are truly a blessing, learning more all the time, these newer cars with the computers are nice but a pain in the <swear removed>! {black}:screaming:

If you have a trusted independent mechanic with those fancy scan tools they'll most likely be able to fix it too unless if Cadillac is one of those manufacturers that makes the software in a way that third party can't work on it (which I doubt would be the case given how old your car is).
My question for you is their a way to reset it or is it true they are the only ones that can fix it?
