Yo Scotty. 2014 i30, 51,000kms, Auto trans dives well but the boot button is broken. I can't find a definitive online word on best way to pop out old button

The exterior one on the trunk door? It pops out as one unit with a single connector at the rear.
Use a rag and plastic prybar to prevent paint damage.
