2005 Mercury grand marquis, my old battery died an when I put the new one in; my car alarm goes off Everytime I crank it, open a door, shut the trunk or hood to hard. I tried to do a reset by touching the positive an negative together for 10-15 min but it didn’t work.

Wow! If you have a remote, maybe it's not working. Try new batteries in the remote or another good known remote that you should have in the drawer somewhere. But if it's not that and if you don't have a remote, the system's just gone haywire and you can have to see a mechanic to analyze to see what has gone wrong. It could be a census switch. Could be a module. Could be lots of things
