How do you turn off the daytime running lights on a 2017 BMW X3 ?

On some vehicles (Canadian market for example), you can't
Why do you want them off?
I’m asking for my sister. Just wondering as an option especially if parked and not wanting the daylights to be on.
if there's a way, it will say in the owner's manual
