Hey Scotty, how dependable are the Honda J37 V6 engines? From what I know, this engine has been only been in five vehicles like the Honda Legend (outside the US), Acura MDX, RL, ZDX, and TL. Since it's only been around for about eight years I believe and only been in a few amount of these Honda products, how easy is it right now to find parts for this engine and how easy would they be in maintenance?
The Honda J engine has been around forever, but the specific J37 only a few years. I conjecture that much of the parts may be similar. Best way is to double check.
Go to RockAuto.com, and check out the year and model that has this engine. See if parts are plentiful, or hard to find.
Especially look at the timing belts, and and water pump. As those are the ones that are part of regular maintenance.
They're good engines, the parts are still readily available on these.
