How is Honda preventing or prolonging carbon build up in their DI motors?

The Honda DI motors first showed up in US Accords in 2013 and other high volume cars (Civic, CR-V) around 2014. There are a lot of these cars with well over 100k+ miles and outside of warranty, but there aren't any complaints about carbon build-up. What's Honda's secret? I know they aren't doing Dual Injection like Toyota, so they must be doing something with timing or filtration in the PCB system.

That's a good question.

Also, I wonder if those turbo engines need valve adjustments like the others?
