I’m buying a used 2014 Toyota Corolla from Sheehy Nissan dealership they have a bunch of different brand used cars. It has 77,232 miles and it has some paint chipping, needs a refill of oil, antifreeze and windshield cleaner. It has dent at the front of the car causing the front bumper to pop out a bit. They told me they could fix the dent. I don’t know if they actually will do it but the car rides nicely. Everything else is fine with it, they have a start price of $13,025 and then added admin, tag and tax fees so they want $14,647.50. I know the car isn’t worth that much so what should my negotiating price be

Go to Autotrader.com and see what is being asked for that year/model at other dealers in your area. Here's what I got for Maryland:

https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/all-cars/toyota/corolla/odenton-md-21113?LNX=SPGOOGLEBRANDPLUSCORE&ds_rl=1289689&gclid=CjwKCAjw47eFBhA9EiwAy8kzNJPy5VAUSGqNoAygXbiBeCLe8ncdO2xlZx67MrsnNMvDtjedrGD47BoCwGoQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&dma=&startYear=2014&endYear=2014&searchRadius=50&isNewSearch=true&marketExtension=include&showAccelerateBanner=false&sortBy=relevance&numRecords=25

You can show the dealer what other ones are going for. It looks to me like $10-11K would be a better price.

For your area it seems high. If you really like the car and it checks out try and get them down a couple of thousand.

i have that exact car for $13,500 and it had 52k miles on it. mine is manual and very happy with it so far. $235 a month car payment and 33 miles per gallon. it seems sturdy and reliable and ages very well.

i have a 2013 avenger and it literally just falls apart and everything just stops working, lol. nowadays it is probably worth 17-20k, who knows. {black}:afraid:
