Were they still unreliable or were they at least relatively reliable for a Jaguar or what?
They're actually even worse than before especially the x models that were basically Ford contour designed and they were absolute piles of garbage even worse than the stuff that Jaguar made by themselves
From what I understand is that the quality of Jaguars went up when Ford first acquired them. Obviously that is not saying anything good about Ford, but rather how bad Jaguars are.
Is that the time period when people would buy a Jaguar, throw out the engine and trans and replace it with a Chevy 350 SB and trans? I can't remember exactly when that was.
That was popular with Jaguars built during the British Leyland era (pre-computer).
