- Hi Scotty, I have a Subaru 2012 Impreza Sport. I changed the oil about 300 miles ago and I will be changing out the spark plugs sometime this week. I will be driving from Massachusetts to Toronto and back. What should I do as far as maintenance goes before and after my trip? Thank you Scotty.

Make sure your tires have tread on them (especially since you may be driving through cold or icy conditions). Make sure they are aired up to the correct PSA.
Make sure your brake pads are good enough for the trip. And make sure brake fluid is in the right range.
Even though you just got an oil change, double check your oil before you go.
Check your coolant levels and add if necessary.
Check the power steering fluid levels and add if necessary.
Make sure your heater and A/C work.
There is probably a few more, these are just off the top of head.
