If they're the original plugs they're certainly due, maybe overdue, for changing. However the symptom you are experiencing can also be caused by clogged fuel and/or air filters, dying fuel pump, clogged catalytic converters, and quite a few other things. Having the car scanned for codes, as @doc suggests, would be a good start in diagnosing the problem.

As far as how to change spark plugs, there are many instructional guides and videos around. Since it's a 4-cylinder engine it should be a pretty easy job. (It can be a challenge to get to the back plugs on transverse V6 engines.)
