Hi there , so on my 2009 Armada the coolant shot out from the radiator cap and sprayed antifreeze all over the engine bay pretty much everywhere , now the engine belt is making this screeching sound it wasn’t there before the coolant leak , question is how to clean the. Engine from all that coolant on it and with the belt can I spray some lubricant oil to remedy that sound or squeeking noise ? Appreciate the assistance
Spray down the engine compartment and engine with a couple of cans of Tire Dressing. Let it drain off and wipe everything down. It will be like new and not harm the electronics.
isn't that a wax?
All-purpose cleaner is fine to use. Spray everything down with water after scrubbing with the cleaner.
All purpose will be fine for the engine and just don’t spray the ecm directly with water and you’ll be fine.. for the belt unfortunately when they get coolant on them and make noise it’s game over for the belt it needs to be replaced and the pulleys sprayed off with brake cleaner or something that dries dry without residue there is no cleaning a belt that will fix it
