I was watching this video :How to Clean Your Car's Catalytic Converter using Lacquer Thinner , and I was wondering if any thinner would work, such as paint or surface cleaner or cellulosic thinner, I am in Turkey and couldn't find lacquer thinner like what Scotty used.

Well, the only lacquer center that I use and advise using is the lacquer thinner that is used to thin. ATT. Oil-based paint from automotive car paint stores. For example, you can't even buy the stuff in California because it's illegal to use because it's so strong and has such odors. That's the only kind of lacquer thinner I would use and now I dilute it by using half a gallon of a lacquer center. Two 10 gallons of gasoline in the tank
