Hey everyone! Yesterday I got into a car accident that wasn't my fault, I was in the left lane on a 2 lane fwy a car merging didn't stop in the right lane before coming and ramming into the passenger front side of my car. My issue is I loved my 2017 Miata so much, it was truly my baby (so much so that I had 3 girlfriends while owning that car and they all knew that I loved the car more than them) I need to know how to convince my parents to allow me to get another Miata. Both of them saw the aftermath of the accident and they were grateful that I was okay, but they said I got lucky that the car that hit me wasn't a truck or an SUV. As of right now, I have tried the gas mileage excuse, they said then get a hybrid. I tried to say that hybrids cost a lot when they get old, they said get a newer Toyota hybrid. I just can't seem to convince them and I truly miss my baby. Right now I am suck driving my dads car (2007 Lexus LS 460 which I very much dislike) until the insurance company realizes that the miata is most definitely totaled.
