Scotty,
You always say in your videos to find a mechanic like you to work on your car. I have never gotten that lucky. Do you know a good way to go about finding a good honest independent mechanic like yourself? I live in the Omaha area, just moved here a year ago and barely know anyone. I take my 2010 F150 to the Ford Quick Lane for most of its work but I am hesitant to have big jobs done there. I also am good with working on my own truck, I just don't have the space to do it living in an apartment. Love your videos!
Follow up question: I have a 2010 F150 4.6 V8. 130,000 miles. Bought it at 87,000 3 years ago and have needed to do very little work on it since. It was a good amount of highway driving for the first 2 years but now I do a lot of city driving. What preventative MX would you suggest? I have recently done plugs, serpentine belt, and regular oil changes. Really nothing major though. Any advice is much appreciated.
Happy New Year,
Max S

For your F150, just follow the maintenance schedule that’s mentioned in your owner’s manual. That should keep your truck in tip top shape.
To find a good mechanic, you can ask around (Friends, ...). Someone mentions in this forum that ask local autopart stores, they know honest mechanics.
