Hey guys I’m having a problem with my E brake on my 1999 Toyota Camry v6 automatic
the light keeps coming on and off while driving and when I go to use the E brake the light comes on also there’s some shaking from the car I think because of this problem any suggestions would help thank you
Which light comes on? Can you please post a picture or YouTube video of your symptoms?
Hey it’s the light that comes on when the parking break is engaged. the parking brake seems to work and seems to come off when I release the lever but I was experiencing a lot of shaking back and forth The same thing happened a few months ago but then it went away for a while but the light just kept coming on and off. maybe it’s not even the parking brake that is causing the shaking But I think it is, I really don’t know
Your car does not have an E brake. It has a parking brake as shown on page 2 of your owner's manual. Replace the parking brake light switch as shown here -
