My 2016 Civic with 145k miles was stolen. I bought the car brand new and took amazing care of it. A homeless couple stole my car and camped in it for 3 days before abandoning the car. It got towed to a storage lot and sat there for over a month. The insurance company paid me out but now the car is set for auction. It has body damage but that’s it.
The car now has a salvage theft title. Is buying a theft title car a bad idea considering I plan to drive it to the ground? Are there any complications with this title.
Check with your insurance carrier to see if they will even write a policy on it.

Who knows what condition the vehicle is really in, at present.
Somebody could’ve swapped parts, the interior must be full of body fluids, the electronics may be ruined by rodents, etc..
It’s time to go car shopping.
