Hello M.Kilmer,

I saw your video about the strap tensionner that you have changed on a Honda Civic the other day. I was wondering where do you place the jack to support the engine??

Might be an interesting video to do.

Thank you.

I have a Lancer 2014 gs with 100 000km on it

Take a block of wood place it over the jack and jack the oil pan or transmission

@mrrangerzr1
the oil pan would be strong enough for that!!!?
thank you

@mrrangerzr1
I've done it with no problems. Make sure the wood is long enough to span the oil pan.

@Ducaking
Yes can even support the whole powertrain, just make sure the wood is thick and doesn't snap.

I’ve done it in a 99 Accord, with a block of wood on the oil pan. I needed to take out the engine mount on one side. Held up like a charm.
