How do the tow hook covers on the front bumper of a 2019 HL LE come off?
On my old 2015 there were these small plastic covers that you could gently pry off but I'm not sure about the 2019... it has these big plastic covers that look like they snap in somehow. I don't want to bust anything.
I have a tow hook (big threaded eye-bolt) that I want to use as a kayak tie-down point. I used it with my 2015 HL and it worked great.

I figured it out... the covers just pop off if you wiggle them side to side and up/down while pulling (the plastic retaining tabs might be brittle in the winter though so be careful).
Anyway, the towing bolt I bought at Amazon for my 2015 HL screws in perfectly and so will also work fine with the 2019 as a tie-down point for my kayak.

The owners manual should explain how to remove them. The car should come with its own tow hook. It's usually located where the spare tire and tools are.
Have you tried reaching your hand behind it to feel if there's any clips?
BTW I did look through the OM but could not find any reference to it.
@mountainmanjoe is right feel for any clips behind. Pushing it out should be easier and you wont have to worry about scratching or breaking anything.
