How can i check for a worn wheel hub. I own a 08 Honda odyssey. I hear the noise on the passenger side. Sound like what people say " like rotating wind"
Jack the car up, check for play at both the 12 & 6 o’clock positions, as well as 3 & 9 o’clock positions. Another way is to spin the wheel freely while placing a hand on the shock/strut & feel for any vibration or noise.
You can also buy a kit which you hook onto various places in the suspension to check which makes the loudest noise, like in Scotty’s videos.
Usually if a wheel bearing is worn enough to where you can hear it you will be able to physically feel how bad the bearing is when spinning the wheel with the car off the ground. Try to yank and shake that wheel and see if there is any play at all in it.
