I'm thinking of buying a Scion IQ '12. I am a city driver 5k miles/year. The only recall was for passenger side airbag maybe not deploying. Other than that I'm not finding anything else negative. Do you have any experience with this car? Thanks!

Those are basically rebadged Toyotas so you can't do much better but as Scotty say be sure to have it check by good mechanic first before you buy any car!

The engine will probably last forever. But this is one of the cheapest cars Toyota ever made and has a CVT transmission and those aren't good. They have a rubber belt inside of them that will wear with age... it will probably need replaced around 130k miles.
