so just sealed a part of my exhaust system (resonator to y pipe) Never had this humming noise before this. Set up ALL aftermarket Headers cat delete and manga flow cat-back system. Note yesterday no noise besides a tiny hint of an exhaust leak so I got under with a spray bottle of soapy water and bam found my leak just a pinhole leak by my claps after me resonator Took down the rest (everything past the resonator) put some copper sealer on the pipe put it on and impacted the clamp on. All is good right, no in park at 2k rpm no hum the second I'm driving and I hit 2k rpm my cab is humming a good amount doesn't matter speed or gear. soo go home let it cool down jack it up spray all joints with soapy water nothing just nothing and I'm losing my mind it sounded really good before but now it's raspy and sounds like a lawnmower honda at 3 am. please any tips that can point me in the right direction I checked mounts joints it just doesn't sound right. and if I take this to a shop what will it cost me.
What car is this and what is the mileage?
99 Accord v6 230k on the body and 5k on the engine about 60k on the trans
Well aftermarket parts off and don't fit well sometimes the noise is actually vibration because they're not the right size and they shake when the engine is running but if you think you have a leak when the engines call just inject smoke into the exhaust of the engine and if there's leaks the smoke will come out of the leaky parts
I don't have anything to make smoke do you think seafoam could work? Or should I just take it in? Thank you so much
