Hi Scotty,
I've been hearing some sort of humming coming from my 2014 Nissan Altima (181k miles) when cruising 40mph or more, and I have a feeling that my wheel bearing is due for replacing. My question is, should I replace the one that is wearing out or both at the same time? TIA.
Check all wheel bearings but it's only necessary to replace any that are bad.
Check them both. Just replace them if bad.

Hi everyone,
I have a loud vibration from the front passenger side of my 2014 Nissan Altima and seems that my wheel bearing is making that noise. Would you recommend replacing both front sides or just replacing the one that is making the vibration?
I would personally replace both the wheel bearings because if one is bad chances are the other will go bad anytime soon. In our 06 Camry only one of the wheel bearing was bad and the other one was fine but we changed both of them so that we don't have to worry about it going bad for a really long time.
the thing is, they sometimes cost $400 or more. To me that seems like too much to pay for something that still works, just to get a warm and fuzzy feeling. It's not like you save any money by doing them both at the same time.
It depends. If you go to a mechanic and let them do it then sure but if your doing it by yourself , your saving a whole bunch of money.
how?
