Hey scotty I am new to the channel. My Dad bought me 2014 hundayi gls for $6000 last year for college. I went to Christian brothers today for yearly car diagnostic
I need new brake pads for front
Rear brake fluid flush
Cabin filter
Transmission fluid flush
Full synthetic oil with filter
Overall it is going to cost me around $900 bucks and I am paying with my own pocket
What do you recommend
I am planning to do this on November 5 with my next oil change
Mileage on the vehicle?
46,484
You are getting hosed. Read your owners manual, then take it to someone and tell them what you want done. They don't tell you.
Brakes I am do hearing squeaking sound and manual says change transmission fluid every 100000miles but I remember scotty telling me change after every 30000 to 50000miles
Plus I am going full synthetic oil choice was mine because I don't have enough time right now to change fluid after every 3000 miles
I would not flush the transmission. I know it is easier for them and make more money with the flush but it may harm your transmission.
What about
Front Brakes
Rear brake flush
And engine oil?
Front brake: if the pads are 3 mm, I would change the pads.
brake flush? I doubt you need it but you can test the brake fluid for water content. The test tells you of you need to change or not.
Engine oil: When was the last time you changed it? Mileage and age? If it is around 5k miles or a year old, I would change it, otherwise no.
Around 44000 it was a regular oil change not full synthetic
I am gonna go with full synthetic this time so I can drive between work and college for next six months and I am gonna change oil at 47000 not right now also with front brake pads
It mostly city driving stop and go situations and school zones
Also if you gonna should have bought toyota or Honda we couldn't afford it that time most of my saving went to college and I also had to save money for car
And I know about hundayi and since I am stuck with it I am planning to use this car for next 5 to 8 years and taking care of it religiously
