2006 Toyota Highlander Limited, 5900$ in ontario. It has awd-i, dont know what the i is for, and dont know if i can drive this if the ' hybrid synergy drive' fails, what ever that is.

Hybrid Synergy Drive is Toyota's brand name for their hybrid system. It is a generic term used for all their hybrids.
The 4WDi or AWDi is a totally separate (yet interwoven) system to Hybrid Synergy Drive.
