I have a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.0T with 79,000 miles. I have been hearing a clunking noise on the driver's side when going over bumps and decorating. The car has been taken to several dealerships but they can't find anything. I replaced the structs mount, sway bar links, and the passenger struct because this is what I was told to replace by a family member. Please help this has been going on for 2 months now.
Find it with an automotive noise finder, don't just guess. They sell them for less than $100 on Amazon. Attach it to various parts of the suspension, drive it around with someone else doing the driving. When you see the noise the greatest, that's where the noise is coming from.
I just fixed a clunking noise in one of my cars. It turned out to be a broken exhaust hanger whose position made it not very obvious when looking from below. Just an example of what you can run into when looking for noises.
As @justin-shepherd mentioned you can buy a fairly inexpensive device that can help track down the source of noises. Scotty has demonstrated those kind of gadgets in his videos.
